Style.Uz Art Week gets underway

The opening Ceremony of Art Week Style.uz this year has surpassed all expectations about entertainment and number of the surprises. "Art Week - small universe, which have got places for all kind of big and small projects" - such welcome words were said from crew of Expedition-37 for address of all guests and participants and it was the most unexpected and pleasant surprise for everybody. Stars of Art Week Style.uz are seen even from the space! Author of the project Gulnara Karimova has unleashed a symbolic ribbon and doors of Palace of Youth Creativity hospitably opened, inviting all guests and participants. Art Week Style.uz-2013 is declared opened!
Before the ceremony of the opening all guests gathered near the Palace of Youth Creativity. Against of the background of large-scale lighting decorations from the big screens there was fashion show of young designers of the Sevilya's School of Fashion from Spain and laureates of Children's Creativity Festival "Yangi Avlod" presented incendiary song, which was written specially for Art Week Style.uz-2013.

There was performs of foreign participants of three large directions of Art Week Style.uz with welcome words: Jean-Yves Langley, President of Cite del Art (France), The VII Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art; Iddo Netanyahu, writer, publicist (Israel), member of the Fourth International Theatre Festival "Theatre.UZ/2013"; Zhang Yuan, producer, scenarist, actor and director - the chairman of the jury Cinema Forum "Golden Guepard". They all expressed gratitude for the organizers and participants of Art Week Style.uz and shared with their brightest impressions of Uzbekistan.

The author of the project, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fund Forum, Gulnara Karimova, in her welcome speech said that in this Art Week Style.uz everything was done differently, in a new way, a lot of new discoveries, a lot of new names, it became a really big holiday which is celebrated by entire Uzbekistan.

Congratulations from the crew of the International Space Station Expedition-37, commander Fedor Yurchikhin (Russia) and flight engineers Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazan (Russia) made for the most unexpected surprise of the opening ceremony Art Week Style.Uz-2013: "Dear friends! We congratulate all the visitors and residents of Tashkent and all participants of Art Week Style.Uz-2013. Art Week is a small universe which accommodates a multitude of big and small projects. Where new stars are born continuously and world-famous constellations are brightly sparkling. Such a universe has a great future.. Telling you a secret, your creative stars are seen from space. Wish you a lot of success, new discoveries and achievements!”
The first large exhibition project, which opened Art Week Style.Uz-2013, was the 7th Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art. Among the major exhibitions: video installation "Triptych.. Architecture. Music. Dance" which was created by ALIKHAN Photography (Russia) with the support of the Fund Forum; installation of Noriko Yamamoto "Weltformel - Theory of everything" (Japan) and an exhibition ‘Zero Waste’ by British artist and graphic designer Nick Sayers.

The first day of Art Week Style.uz-2013 concluded with a concert of world-famous Russian violist Yuri Bashmet at Istiqlol Palace of Art.
...Bright concept of "lollipop", the image of which decorates all parts of Tashkent, turned on the stage in front of the Palace of Youth Creativity motley-band of khan-atlas. Together with it, starting from 22nd of October and finishing on 27th date of same month, same vivid events are held in Tashkent, a mix of dreams, colours and emotions of the most expected events in Uzbekistan - Art Week Syle.Uz, which is held for the eighth time, and each year is more successful, brighter and bigger.
